Developed a Joomla backed portal allowing the client to showcase the online version of its various magazines. It involved complete re-write of the existing Drupal based website for better usability and implementation of a sophisticated content workflow mechanism.

Client is one of India's leading consumer magazine group with top-line publications. Project Brief
Client had an existing CMS backed portal running on Drupal. Client had usability and content related issues and so client opted for a complete re-write of the CMS and the portal. The portal is the showcase of various magazines published by the client. The editorial teams of all magazines publish content specific to their magazines, which is published after the content passes through the designated workflow. There are various user levels in the portal restricting the access of the editorial team to the respective magazine. Challenges Integration of all magazine portals in one. Extended user and permissions module. Dynamic Content workflow. Selected framework (Joomla) structurally not supporting intended workflow and selected functionalities.
Solution Joomla core was customized for enabling all the functionalities needed. Various components, modules, plugins were written on top of the customized joomla to maintain modularization and the plug n play architecture of joomla.
